Marinara Pizza Sauce

Here’s the next step to making our homemade pizza! This sauce is so good!!!!! It’s perfect as a pizza sauce but would great on spaghetti. You will never buy store sauce again.
Ingredients:
20 Roma tomatoes
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1/3 cup sugar
1 red onion, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
3 Tablespoons Olive oil
2 teaspoons fennel
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon rosemary
Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions:

  • Blanche tomatoes and peel. Smash tomatoes with a potato smasher.
  • In a skillet, add a Tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic for a few minutes.
  • In a large pan, combine all the ingredients and cook on a medium heat until you bring it to a boil.
  • Then turn the heat on low, and simmer for at least an half an hour. Remember, the longer you simmer it, the better the sauce will be!
