My son was baptized on Saturday to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was so excited and wanted to invite all of his family and buddies to share in his special day with him. I was so proud of him for choosing to be baptized that I couldn’t wait to throw a big party for him and all of our friends and family afterwards. This cake is super easy because, well, it comes from a box, but a few of my secret ingredients make it super special! Tres Leches Cake with Creamy and Fruity Frosting 1 box of Duncan Hines Tres Leches cake mix 3 eggs 1 cup of applesauce 1 cup of water 3 1/2 cups of whole milk 1 cup of apple sauce ( I always add applesauce to my cakes. It makes them more dense and yummy!) 1 small container of Cool Whip 1 box of cream cheese 1 cup of powdered sugar 1 cup of raspberries 1 cup of blueberries Directions: Combine cake mix, eggs, applesauce, and water. Beat for 2 minutes, and bake as the box directs. Mix the milk and Tres Leches package together. Pour over cake and refrigerate until the cake has absorbed all the milk. Meanwhile, beat softened cream cheese until smooth, and then fold in the cool whip and powdered sugar. Spread frosting on the cake and top with raspberries and blueberries. Enjoy! Jessica
