Spam Fries With Sriracha Dipping Sauce

When I was little, I remember eating Spam on sandwiches. My husband loves it and gets really excited when I buy it. My older kids thought that they had stopped making it. The other day I was cruising around the internet and found new food trends and Spam fries was one of the options mentioned.
the article went on to say that people are going crazy over Spam fries! I knew right then I had to try it! Try them and let me know what you think!
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon Sriracha sauce
1 Tablespoon ketchup
1 quart vegetable oil for frying
2 cans Spam- cut into French fry slices

  • In your blender, process garlic, salt, mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, and ketchup. Blend until well combined. Pour it into a serving cup, cover and place into the fridge.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet to 175 degrees C.
  • Cook fries in the preheated oil until browned and crispy on the outside and moist inside. Remove to a paper towel covered plate.

  1. When I was younger my mom would make Spam for us. We would have in on sandwiches, she would fry it for dinner with fried potatoes and sometimes we would have it for breakfast with eggs. Spam was cheap and it was a cheap meal for us. As I got older my taste buds changed. I think she purchased it more for my dad because when they divorced I never saw Spam at the dinner table again. There were times over the years I tried it. And as soon as I opened the can, the smell hit me. Then, that plop of that jell when you get it out of the can. I just can't eat it anymore. So, when I saw your pick on Wednesday Whatsits I had to click to see if that was a real thing. People still eat Spam? I am not sure I would try them, but they sure are interesting. I would love to have you link this at my Stop the Yuck party because I know some moms there could appreciate this recipe.

  2. Pinning this, I remember eating Spam at our house growing up, too but haven't ate it in years. I think I might give this a try, though and definitely know hubby will appreciate it because he loves Sriracha sauce!
