  1. Like you – I've been wanting to make banana bread for a long time.
    Unlike you – I still haven't
But I like your recipe, so I just might try it 🙂
    Thanks for sharing!!

  2. That looks and sounds delicious. I have an old family recipe that's almost identical, but in place of the butter, it uses sour cream. I don't always have sour cream, but I always have butter. Thanks for posting this recipe. Now, I won't have to run to the store for sour cream every time I want to whip up banana bread.

  3. I love banana bread! I have never made it because I thought it would be complicated also, but I am going to try your recipe the next time we have browning bananas.

Thank you for stopping by the Thoughtful Spot Weekly Blog Hop this week. We hope to see you drop by our neck of the woods next week!

  4. Oh what wicked post!

I haven't had banana bread in so long.

This looks absolutely exceptional and so easy!

I'm going to be debating with myself to bake this or not!

I do have some brown bananas…

    Hmmm.

Thanks for an excellent link to the letter E.

    A+

  5. did you use a glass or metal baking pan? i am using glass and reduced the heat to 325… we shall see! i’ve heard you’re supposed to bake more slowly when using pyrex? well here we go lol

  6. I’ve used your recipe tons of times already, and my whole family loves it, I had to go out, and buy more loaf pans, because I literally have to make like 3 loaves at a time, because one loaf would only last for 2 days!! I noticed that if I used 4 bananas instead of 3, it was wayyyyy more gooey, which was so yummy. And also, when I was in a time crunch, I took it out 10 mins early, and it was like, super gooey, which wasn’t necesarily a bad thing, I just felt like I was biting into batter, but it was still yummy!! love this recipe, you did great job

  7. Making this luscious banana bread right now! It is baking and I cannot wait for an hour to be up so I can taste this wonderful recipe. I also added a half a cup of chopped walnuts! Thank you so much for this recipe.

  8. THIS ROCKS! HOW MANY YEARS have I been looking for a recipe crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside without 800 ingredients. Just like Bob Evans Banana Bread. I made mini loaves and cooked it 30 minutes and it was 5 minutes too long in my opinion, but good enough that I will keep playing with the time. THANK YOU!

  9. A very excellent recipe, however, you should tell the readers what to bake this recipe in. I use a glass dish that is about 3 inches high, about 6 x3.
