Key Lime Pie

My brother Zacker loves some key lime pie, I never knew until recently. For our birthday’s every year my mom makes our favorite food or any dinner that we want. It’s pretty awesome, we have had some extravagant meals because of this. Ben always tells us he is going to pick a weird thing that we each have to eat. “Mom you have to eat pigs feet,” he’s pretty odd, but we like him. He’s pretty entertaining, anyways so I offered to help out and Matt and I made the Key Lime Pie for Zac. This is what we did!!
1 – 12inch graham cracker crust
3 cans of sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cups of sour cream
3/4 cup key lime juice
1 tablespoon of key lime zest
Whipped cream topping
2 cups whipping cream
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. In a medium bowl, combine condensed milk, sour cream, lime juice, and lime zest. Mix well and pour into graham cracker crust.
3. Bake in preheated oven for 5 to 8 minutes, until tiny pinhole bubbles burst on the surface of pie. DO NOT BROWN! Chill pie thoroughly before serving. Garnish with lime slices and whipped cream if desired.
4. In a stand mixer put in whipped topping whip on medium high until it forms stiff peaks. Decorate on cold key lime pie.
