My friends Bonnie and Ann and I started a boot camp together a couple months ago. It has been so fun to be able to have a little girls time every morning. Our trainer is awesome and always encourages us to send her pictures of the food we eat, so she can see what we’re eating and either give us a thumbs up or a thumbs down. After a while, Ann and I decided to start sending pictures to each other too, so that we could give each other some new ideas for snacks and meals. Sometimes you just need some inspiration! So, that’s what I’m sharing with you today. The exact pictures we’ve been sending to our trainer! These quick meal ideas can be prepped ahead of time and are delicious. It doesn’t take much effort to eat healthy, just good planning and shopping. I apologize in advance for the picture quality, but I hope these help you to mix up your routine a bit!! Oh, and please give us ideas too! Leave your favorite ideas in the comment section please! Apple with 1 Tablespoon of nut butter. Triple berry smoothie made with plain yogurt, honey, and coconut milk. Broccoli with roasted red pepper hummus. Carne Asada and salad topped with avocado, cilantro, plain Greek yogurt, and salsa. Half a baked sweet potato with coconut oil and cinnamon with a baked chicken thigh. Breakfast favorites are eggs with tomatoes. Eggs with asparagus, mushrooms, and avocado. Protein shake with my homemade Energy Bite Bar, click on the link to get the recipe. Favorite on the go, traveling food. Tropical smoothie café Island Green Smoothie with no sugar and protein added. KFC (I know it’s terrible, but it’s all I had access to) Grilled chicken with green beans. Tomato and hard boiled egg. Can you tell I LOVE tomatoes? Chicken and artichoke sausage (140 cals) and steamed broccoli. Lean steak and zucchini lettuce wraps. Once again, plain tomatoes with eggs. Lean steak with baked spaghetti squash. Steamed shrimp and asparagus, sautéed with olive oil and garlic. Low-carb tortilla ‘pizza’ with Italian turkey sausage, bell peppers, and mozzarella. And finally, a big salad with whatever veggies and protein I have in the fridge, dressed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Don’t forget to leave your favorites below!! Jessica
