(depending on the consistency that you like)
Preheat
oven to 350 degrees
In
small bowl combine milk, eggs and vanilla extract; set aside. In the bowl with
mixer combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt and spices.
Stir
until dry ingredients are combined. Add the butter and mix on low until butter
is in small pieces.
Add
1/3 of the milk mixture at a time, once the last 1/3 is incorporated, add the
brown sugar. Blend until batter is smooth.
Pour
batter into cupcake liners and bake until a toothpick inserted into the middle
comes out clean, or when you press the cupcake top and it pops up, about 30
minutes.
Combine
the cream cheese, butter and vanilla in the bowl and blend on medium high until
light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Reduce
speed to low and add the confectioner’s sugar.
Continue
to blend for 2-4 minutes until smooth.
