Easy Rustic Front Porch Christmas Decor

Rustic Front Porch Christmas Decor

Rustic Front Porch Christmas Decor! Last year I didn’t decorate much for Christmas because I was pregnant, so this year I really wanted to deck the halls starting with the front porch! I love handmade items that have a raw, rustic feel so I of course turned to Etsy for most of my Christmas decor items.

I used a hay bale for my Halloween and Thanksgiving decor and was going to get rid of it, but then realized it might work for Christmas. I wanted it to give the feeling of being covered in snow, but I’m not going to lie, I don’t think I nailed it, so if you have any suggestions of how I could make it work a little better I’m all ears!

This amazing hand painted Christmas Trees sign is from Whimsay, an Etsy shop full of handmade vintage inspired decor that is top notch! I was actually planning on hanging this sign on our wall inside, because it came with a hanger on the back but I thought it looked really cute next to my mini Christmas tree. The picture really doesn’t do it justice. When you look at it in real life you can see the brush strokes and that it is very high quality. I highly suggest Whimsay for any of their handmade items! They are very reasonably priced and have such a wide variety.

I bought this mini Christmas tree from Target last year I think to do a photoshoot of my son for our Christmas card, (which you will be seeing in a future post!) It has been great although I discovered that by putting it back into it’s box last year was a bad idea and some of the branches fell off when I was trying to spruce it up. Whoops! I won’t be repeating that mistake again!

This wooden star is also a handmade item from Etsy by fellow blogger Chelsea from www.thejohnsonsplusdog.com . Chelsea’s Etsy shop is full of fabulous reclaimed wood signs, paper crafts, and home decor that you should definitely check out! I am really excited about this star because we are also going to be hanging it in our house after Christmas as regular decor.

This Let It Snow sign is from Joanne’s Fabric and Craft store that I purchased a few years back. I love snow (for the first few weeks 😉 so I love that this sign brings a winter wonderland feeling with it.

This was my first time actually putting a wreath type item on my door, and I found this awesome hack on Pinterest! To hang your wreath, simply put a command hook upside down at the top of your door!

Have a Merry Christmas!

  1. Super cute front porch! Love how you reused the bale of hay! I have a porch for the first time in forever & cannot wait til next year to really get it decorated for Christmas (we’re focusing on the inside this year!).

  2. Beautiful rustic porch decor! I haven’t decorated my porch yet for Christmas. I think this would be a great idea for my family to try. I like your tip to use the sticky hook on the back of the door. I would have never thought to do this and I use the hooks all the time in my home!
