Rustic Christmas Decor

Because I was pregnant last year, I didn’t really decorate much so this year I really wanted to deck the halls with rustic Christmas decor! I love handmade items so one of my favorite places to shop is Etsy. These floating shelves from Blissopia did not disappoint! Blissopia is a furniture company with a huge variety of rustic, reclaimed, and traditional handmade items. My husband and I just built a new house and so we’re very cautious about what we actually hang on the walls. They are so clean and new so we don’t want to put up anything that we’ll regret. These shelves are gorgeous and provide the perfect backdrop for my Christmas or everyday decor.

I’ve decided that my decorating philosophy is go big on the permanent fixtures and then whatever you put on them looks amazing. These are a few DIY items I’ve made over the years that the shelves make look great!

These float frames are from Micheal’s and were purchased a few years ago. The photo of my son carting off a Christmas tree was last year’s Christmas card, and the pajama photos are for this year’s which I will probably be sharing tomorrow. I loved Christmas themed photoshoots!

This whitewashed distressed Christmas sign is from Stardust Talismans, an Etsy shop that specializes in Barnwood signs and decor. They have a lot of Christmas-themed signs and regular decor and from now until December 5 they are offering 15% off an order of $50 or more if you use the code LOULOUGIRLS. This sign looks amazing and is really well put together.

I was really excited to find this rustic shelf ladder! I have always wanted something for our stockings because we don’t have a mantel, and when I saw this I realized it would be perfect! It is from an Etsy shop called Barnwood USA that specializes in reclaimed wood picture frames and decor. The stockings are from Target.

Our Christmas tree is from Target. We started a tradition this year where Santa drops off an ornament early for each person that represents something about them that year. For example, I got these adorable baby boots (from Joanne’s) because I had a baby this year. Santa knows me so well!
