I love that my husband likes to cook! We had our first state game tonight and I came home to a clean house and a new pulled pork recipe!

Best dinner ever! I love him! Anyways, this one took a little work, fair warning!

Jack Daniels Crockpot Pulled Pork

Ingredients

Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1 Tbsp. minced garlic (about 2-3 cloves)
2 cups ketchup
2 cups tomato sauce (or pasta sauce, I used Classico
tomato, herbs, and spices)
¾ cup molasses
1 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
5 tsp. chili pepper paste (add more if you want it
hotter)
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder

Jack Daniels Crockpot Pulled Pork

Directions

This makes about 6 cups of sauce, so in a large pot/pan
melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic. Add other ingredients
starting with ketchup and working your way down the list. Combine ingredients
well, mixing until brought to a boil. Reduce temperature to low and let simmer
for 1 hour, stirring every so often.

Ingredients

Crock Pot Pulled Pork with Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce
~5 lbs. Pork (shoulder/butt)
2-3 clove of minced garlic
½ Tbsp. chili pepper paste
½ Tbsp. onion powder
1 tsp. black pepper
½ cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
3 cups Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce (see recipe)

Directions

Combine the spices and dry rub the meat real good. Pour
the whiskey into the crockpot and place pork on top of it. Pour the BBQ sauce
over the meat and let marinate in the fridge overnight covered with saran wrap.
Place crockpot in the cooker and cook on low heat for 6 hours, if you can after 6
hours remove meat and pull apart, then place the pulled meat back into the
crockpot so to soak up the juices, cook for another 1 hr. the meat should soak
up the meat. You can either drain the meat and add the additional cup of BBQ to
the crockpot or scoop out the meat and add BBQ to it in a bowl. Serve over a bun with a pickle on the side, enjoy.

  6. Sounds like a seriously flavourful pulled pork recipe! Love that it is made in the crock pot too. Thank you for sharing with us at the Hearth and Soul hop. Pinned and will tweet!

  7. how many does this serve, if served as sandwiches? Also, what size crockpot is needed? I think I have a 1 qt, and I need to serve 10-15 people (15 to be safe, so there will be some extras to go around). This looks like the most inviting recipe I have found.
