WARNING!! This is not healthy, which is why it is probably so delicious! Every once in a while you just have to have a treat!

We made this OH SO YUMMY caramel apple monkey bread last week for Easter, and we weren’t disappointed! The scent of cinnamon and hot fresh bread permeated the house and made us all happy.

The great thing about this recipe is that it is SO SO EASY!

Caramel Apple Monkey Bread (Printable Recipe)

20 Rhodes bake and serve rolls (find them in the freezer section!)

1/2  jar of caramel sauce ( I like Mrs. Richardson’s, the kind you put on ice cream)

3 apples

2 T. Cinnamon

1/2 lemon (juiced)

1 cup of brown sugar 1 stick of butter (melted)

Caramel Apple Monkey Bread

Directions:

Let roll dough thaw on the countertop, they don’t need to rise too much, they just need to be soft enough to cut (about an hour).

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut each roll into 4 pieces. My kids were really good helpers! And it just goes to show, it doesn’t need to be perfect.

Set aside. Slice apples thinly. Toss apples in lemon juice, 1 T. of cinnamon, and 1/4 cup of brown sugar.  Set apples aside.

Combine the rest of the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Melt butter.

Roll each dough piece in melted butter, and then in the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Place one layer of buttered and sugared rolls in the bottom of a buttered bundt pan. Layer in about half of your sliced apples, cover with 1/4 cup of caramel sauce.

Continue layering rolls, apples, and caramel sauce until you run out! Bake for about 40-45 minutes. Invert the rolls onto a plate and enjoy the caramel goodness!

  1. I have seen monkey bread before but not caramel apple. It looks amazing. Plus I love that kids can get involved in the kitchen too and help out. Thank you for sharing at Motivational Monday Link Party. I can't wait to see what you will share Sunday night again.
