Delicious Hot Wing Chicken Casserole

Hot Wing Chicken Casserole

This Hot Wing Chicken Casserole is an easy and delicious dinner recipe that can be on your table in 30 minutes.

Hot Wing Chicken Casserole

We love Hot Wings at our house and so we had to try something with a little twist on our favorite flavors! When I told my husband what I was making, he was a little nervous that it wouldn’t be as great as I thought it would be………but he was pleasantly surprised! This is so delicious, you won’t be able to stop eating it!

Ingredients for Hot Wing Casserole:

Chicken: You can use a rotisserie chicken, leftover chicken breasts, or even canned chicken.  We have used all three kinds of chicken, and it tastes amazing no matter which chicken you use in your hot wing recipe.

Cheese: Lots of shredded cheese and cream cheese make this casserole so gooey and delicious. Hey, I never said this was a healthy Hot Wing Casserole.

LOU LOU GIRLS TIP: Make this a low carb Hot Wing recipe by substituting cooked cauliflower for the potatoes.  Healthy chicken recipe just like that.

Ranch or Blue Cheese: Either one will taste great.  It all depends on which dressing you prefer. Our family prefers the ranch.

Optional Toppings: Set out bowls of green onions and blue cheese crumbles for everyone to top their casserole with.

Ingredients:

1 rotisserie chicken
4 medium potatoes, cubed
1/2 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 Tablespoon paprika
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 cup onion, diced
4 Tablespoons hot sauce (if you want it hotter, add more)
1 cup ranch dressing
2 Tablespoons of dry ranch dressing
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 pound bacon (cooked and crumbled)

Hot Wing Chicken Casserole

Directions:

  • Heat oven to 450 degrees. Combine olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onions and hot sauce together in a medium bowl. Add shredded chicken to mixture and set aside to let it have time to marinate.
  • Place potato cubes in a gallon Ziploc bag with a tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of dry ranch dressing. Shake bag until potatoes are completely covered with the mixture. Transfer the potatoes to a 9×13 baking pan. Roast the potatoes for 20 to 30 minutes. Until golden brown and cooked through. Turn down your oven to 350 degrees.
  • When the potatoes are done, remove from the oven and top with the shredded chicken and the shredded cheese. Sprinkle the bacon and drizzle the ranch dressing on top.
  • Place in the oven and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes. The chicken should be heated through and the cheese should be melted.

Note: If you love blue cheese with your wings, substitute the ranch for blue cheese dressing!
Your Family will love this and it will become one of your favorites!

    1. Not a stupid question. I think it depends on you. If you don't like the peels on the potato, I would peel it first, then cut it. I like the peels left on sometimes, so just make sure you wash the potato.

  5. This is a great recipe all except the bacon, but could perhaps substitute turkey bacon – hmmm may give it a try! Thank you for sharing your post at the #WWDParty – Have a wonderful week ahead!
